Bookshelf

I have always loved reading. From a little girl to a student of literature, books have always been doorways of adventure and imagination for me. They have expanded my world view by taking me to places I have never seen and showing me ways of life that are different to mine.

So here is a list of my favorite reads which I will be adding to in the years to come.

Fiction:

  • The Chronicles of Narnia (C.S. Lewis) : they make me feel like a child while teaching me lessons as an adult
  • A Room With A View (E.M. Forster)
  • War and Peace (Leo Tolstoy)
  • Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen)
  • Captain Corelli's Mandolin (Louis de Bernières)
  • The Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern)
  • Gone With The Wind (Margaret Mitchell)

Plays:

  • The Importance of Being Earnest (Oscar Wilde)
  • A Midsummer Night's Dream (William Shakespeare)
  • Hamlet (William Shakespeare)

Poetry:

  • Paradise Lost (John Milton)

Other:

  • Other People's Love Letters (Bill Shapiro, ed.)
  • Cape Town, an Illustrated Poem (Julia Grey)
  • Handmade Nation (Faythe Levine and Courtney Heimerl)
  • Making is Connecting (David Gauntlett)
